Inaugurated in 2004, the art galleries at NAFA strives to maintain a high standard brand name in the local art scene. We have state of the art lighting and gallery capacities, as well as specifically honed experience in curating and design of commissioned and proposed exhibitions. Today, we are a key player known for staging unique exhibitions with an international outlook. The department strives to cultivate a high level of aesthetic standards in exhibition presentation and takes the lead in materialising important artistic projects with both conventional and new media. The programmes periodically feature student graduation shows; selected academy‐wide/departmental projects; commissioned or curated international programmes; as well as regular displays of the older generation of Singapore’s artists closely tied to the history of the academy and the history of art in Singapore.
