The use of lines creates movement, texture, rhythm, and emotive impressions in an artwork. This display of works from the NAFA Collection showcases the works of Southeast Asian iconic artists as well as established artists, examines how these artists have used lines to convey various creative expressions within their practice and object-making. Through the exploration and development of artistic concepts and inspirations; abstract minimalism and abstract expression; the observation and documentation of figures, objects and landscapes, this presentation will demonstrate how line ignites and exudes life in art.
