Ho Leng (1982 -)

Singaporean artist Melissa Ho Xueling (b. 1982), also known as Ho Leng, specialises in Fine Art and photography. This interest led to her exploration of filmmaking and writing. To Ho, these mediums allow the viewer to open their minds to various experiences and subject matter.

She holds a Diploma in Multimedia Design in Graphic Communication from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Loughborough University, United Kingdom. In 2015, she attained a Master of Arts in Photography and Urban Cultures from Goldsmiths University of London, United Kingdom. She also holds an MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Ho Leng is also the founder of 7x8curators. This curatorial collective shares the experiences and stories of 7 curators in 8 weeks in different cities. She has been involved in several projects, such as the Annual International Visual Sociology Association Conference 2013 in London.

As an artist, she has participated actively in the art scene both locally and internationally, speaking in artists' talks and participating in art residency programmes from Berlin to New York. In 2009, she was a winner of the Platinum Award in the 28th UOB Painting of the Year Competition. In 2022, Ho was appointed the Gallery Manager at Yeo Workshop, Singapore.
