Malaysia-born Lim Cheng Mei is a multi-disciplinary artist. Lim graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in 1992 with a Diploma of Applied Arts in Graphic Design and obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Graphic Communication from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom. Before joining NAFA as a full-time lecturer in 2008, Lim pursued a career in the corporate sector for more than 15 years, working as a graphic artist, designer and art director for international advertising agencies and local design houses.
Although specialising in visual communication, Lim’s hunger for knowledge shows in her art practice. Her works often explore a variety of mediums, such as drawings, paintings and 3D mixed-media installations. Lim received the Gryphon Tea Company Packaging Star Award in 2008.
