Zahedi Dariush (1961- )
Born in Tehran, Dariush Zahedi is an Iranian painter known for his evocative oil paintings that often depict scenes of rural Iranian life and Iranian heritage. While he had no formal art education, he started painting at the age of 12 and graduated from Isfahan University of Technology in 1986. He worked as a project engineer at the National Iranian Oil Company for five years, where he enjoyed the company of esteemed Iranian artists such as Rahim Navehsi and Parviz Izad Panah. Zahedi returned to his passion for painting and began his career as a professional artist in 1994. He has been an active participant in domestic and international art shows.
