Ho Seok Kee and Kylie Tamara trained at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and graduated with a Diploma in Fine Art in 2016. Ho, trained under Singapore’s second-generation ink painters, Wee Beng Chong and Tan Kee Sek, went on to pursue a Fine Arts degree from the University of Loughborough in 2018. On the other hand, Tamara is currently a program producer at World Scholar’s Cup, an international academic program. 

Ho and Tamara were participants in the interdisciplinary project Silent Actors II: Puppets of Myanmar and Vietnam, organised by the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts (ISEAA) of NAFA in 2015. Based on folktales and scenes inspired by the Hindu epic Ramayana, Ho and Tamara were taught traditional performing art forms, such as learning to manipulate Burmese marionettes through research trips in Southeast Asia and artist-in-residence workshops at the Academy. The installation Tribute and Imprint is a culmination of the project by Ho and Tamara. Tribute comprises carved marionette hands strung to the marionette characters of the Prince and Ogre – these influential figures pay tribute to the Burmese culture and craftsmanship. Footprints left behind by the puppets during the performance are imprinted on paper, symbolising their significance as an art form.
