This publication accompanies the artist's second solo exhibition at NAFA in just over a year. Featuring over 50 oil and pastel works inspired by his home country, Indonesia, Low Hai Hong's visual narrative offers us a glimpse into the daily lives, rituals and cultural heritage of the land and the people.

The publication includes a Foreword by Mr Leong Weng Kam, Director, NAFA Board, and a short essay by Dr Bridget Tracy Tan, Director, Institute of Southeast Asian Arts and Art Galleries, NAFA, elaborating on Low's artistic practice and observations of his time spent in Java, Sumatra and Bali as conveyed through the painted surface. The artist shares a personal account of his inspiration behind his Wayang Kulit series, allowing readers a deeper insight into his works.
