Featuring 94 works from the UOB Collection, this publication was produced in conjunction with the exhibition of the same title as part of the bank's 80th anniversary celebrations in 2015. It provides a modest overview of the bank's growing collection acquired since the early 1970s, comprising of various genres from batik to modern abstractions and landscapes by well-known artists in Singapore and the region.
This book includes a Foreword by Mr Wee Ee Cheong, Deputy Chairman and CEO, United Overseas Bank Group and Chairman, United Overseas Bank Group Art Committee, and an essay by Dr Bridget Tracy Tan, Director, Institute of Southeast Asian Arts and Art Galleries, NAFA, providing a retrospective look at important works within the collection and the bank's role in developing and shaping the arts landscape in Singapore.
