The Ngee Ann National Teochew Artists’ Exhibition presented the works of local Teochew artists and this year marked the 25th edition of this significant cultural event. This comprehensive exhibition showcased oil painting, Chinese ink painting, calligraphy, sculpture, and multimedia artworks by a wide range of generation of artists. The highly anticipated part is nominating the annual Ngee Ann Artist of the Year and the newly established (since 2021) Young Promising Artist Award. NAFA faculty member Dr Lim Poh Teck received the Ngee Ann Artist of the Year for 2023, acknowledging NAFA’s highlights in art practices for the community. Young Promising Artist award went to ceramicist, Ms Daisy Toh, SOTA alumna.
