Workshops and Events > Past Exhibitions The Art of Zen and book launch of "Abbot Song Nian & and Art of Zen"

Reverend Song Nian was cultured Literati and Scholar, whose works spread far and wide, collected by the-man-on-the-street as well as top leaders like the late Mr Deng Xiaoping and Singapore’s current Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. The Art of Zen featured Reverend Song Nian’s classic monochrome brush works and calligraphy as well as his paintings, complemented with Zen riddles and poems. A commemorative book co-authored and researched by Mr Fan Rui Hua, Mr Ng Sock Ling and Mr Lan Fei Yun "Abbot Song Nian and the Art of Zen” was launched at the exhibition. 
 
A talk on Zen Art chared by the authors was held at the Gallery on Saturday, 25 September 2004 at 2pm.
