Flagship Genius: Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám III (Temple of Literature) marks the 3rd and final chapter of NAFA’s Southeast Asian Arts Project. The exhibition featured creative expressions from close to 200 students, drawing inspiration from Vietnamese history, culture, symbolism, and traditions. Showcased together with these works are recent contributions by both emerging and established alumni from the Faculty of Art & Design and Performing Arts, underscoring NAFA’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering cross-cultural perspectives.

Kicking off the opening event was a dance presentation, “Path of Virtue” by students from School of Dance, a symbolic dance that translates the Confucian ideals of discipline and the pursuit of knowledge into movement. This was followed by two dramatic presentations, “Interlab” and “A Dream” where English and Chinese Drama students from School of Theatre offered interpretations of their learning journey of Vietnamese culture through the lens of the project. The exhibition spotlights outstanding works by students from Diploma programmes in 3D Design, Graphic Communications, Fashion Design, Fine Art as well as Bachelor and Master of Arts in Fine Art.

Standing as a testament to the power of cross-cultural inquiry, Flagship Genius: Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám III is a success story in bridging legacy, history and cultural traditions with contemporary artistic practice that celebrates the creative growth of the students and affirms ISEAA and NAFA’s role in shaping the arts landscape in Southeast Asia.
