NAFA alumnus Cheah Thien Soong is considered an outstanding contemporary ink-painter from Malaysia who trained under Nanyang’s pioneer artists such as Chen Wen Hsi, Cheong Soo Pieng, Georgette Chen and Shi Xiangtuo (See Hiang To). Starting with Singapore at his alma mater, this modest touring retrospective exhibition framed his 55 years of practice showcasing close to 40 Chinese ink paintings, calligraphy and some early sketches .
