An established Chinese painter and calligrapher, Tan Kian Por was awarded the prestigious Cultural Medallion Award in 2001. As part of his exposure after his premiere in China, radical new works were featured in this Singapore exhibition. Over the years, Tan has excelled in Literati disciplines, featuring the Lotus and philosophy among other things in his ink paintings, calligraphy and seal carvings. He has experimented with photography and expressive forms. This exhibition brought together recent accomplishments and Tan’s oeuvre.
