This one-day workshop saw 120 Year 1 and Year 2 students from the Bachelor of Arts(Hons) in Design Practice in attendance. This cross semester workshop involved screening of two Cannes films by Filipino and Indonesian filmmakers, Kanakan Balintagos and Garin Nugroho, respectively, a series of exercises, and a presentation module. The final session on January 12 allowed the students to engage in discussions and present their group work on the culminating exercise exploring the structure and concept of themes, history and leitmotifs in Southeast Asian film.
