Claire Cheng (1985 - )
Claire Cheng is an installation artist and painter who explores the familiar and embraces subjects people tend to overlook in everyday life. By delving into this line of inquiry, she believes in seeking significance in what others may find trivial.
Cheng holds a Diploma in Fine Art from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including the Txtrapolis Group Exhibition at the University of the Philippines. She has also exhibited her artworks at Adventures of Little Things and Ignite Diploma Graduation Show held at NAFA. In 2005, Cheng was awarded for her outstanding work by Dr Tan Tze Chor at NAFA’s 55th Annual Exhibition and Best Display for Diploma in Fine Art programme at NAFA’s Graduation Show in 2006.
