The Field Beyond: works by contemporary Malaysian artists accompanies the exhibition of the same name that was held at Lim Hak Tai Gallery. Featuring 28 works by four Malaysian artists, the book documents the artists' artmaking and thought processes as they reflect on their personal experiences leading them to create their pieces. A short introduction by Dr Bridget Tracy Tan, Director, Institute of Southeast Asian Arts and Art Galleries and Academic Advisor (Southeast Asian Arts), NAFA, elaborates the practice of each artist and their presentation in the exhibition at NAFA.
