The Ngee Ann National Teochew Artist’s annual exhibition marked its 24th year in running showcasing the art of local Teochew artists. The annual Ngee Ann Artist of the Year and Young Promising Artist Award honours the remarkable artistic achievements of an established artist and emerging young artist, an award that aspires to nurture future generations of Teochew artists in years to come
The two recipients who swept the top awards were illustrious alumni artists and lecturers, Mr Boo Sze Yang (Ngee Ann Artist of the Year 2022) and Mr Sebastian Mary Tay (Young Promising Artist Award 2022), further solidifying NAFA’s role in nurturing artistic talents.
