Boo Sze Yang, Singaporean and NAFA alumnus held his 10th solo exhibition at his alma mater showcasing over 40 works from his House of God and The Mall series. Boo’s perspective of shopping malls are likened to sanctuaries for the modern man and woman where The New Cathedral draws metaphorical inference from cavernous spaces in glitzy shopping malls and religious architecture. The exhibition opening was officiated by President of NAFA, Mr. Choo Thiam Siew on 9 January 2012. The artist graciously donated two of his works The Mall #10 (Iluma, Singapore) and The Mall #20 (Isetan Scotts, Singapore) to NAFA.
