Inspired by street scenes and landscapes to places in his travels; this exhibition marked Singaporean artist, NAFA alumni and Cultural Medallion recipient of 2009 Ang Ah Tee’s third show with NAFA with over 50 works including those that refer to his humble beginning in documenting Singapore’s changing landscape. Known for his richly textured acrylic works, Ang’s works has evolved to a more contemporary and semi abstract style over the years. In his 13th solo exhibition, his colour palettes shifted from the usual warm and cool hues to more poetic and nostalgic shades, bearing traces of Chinese calligraphy and ink painting style as he revisited his Asian roots.
