In conjunction with the exhibition of Perceptions: Chinese Ink at NAFA, the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts (ISEAA) invited established and young ink artists to talk about their explorations into new territories and modes of expression in ink painting, and how they create new languages of ink and wash through their works.
The artists Deng Qichang, Hong Sek Chern, June Lee Yu Juan and Yeo Shih Yun introduced to Fine Art students their art practice and approaches towards ink painting.
A short discussion and Q&A, moderated by student Ho Seok Kee, took place after the sharing session. The post-exhibition publication “More Space 空间 Hong Sek Chern” was officially launched at the event.
