Workshops and Events > Past Workshops and Activities Sembawang: The D. D. Land by Tang Da Wu – General Studies Module (in collaboration with SOAD Foundation Programme)

In collaboration with the School of Art and Design (SOAD) Foundation Programme, 500 students were given a guided tour of the exhibition titled Sembawang: The D. D. Land.

Prior to the tour, students were given a set of exercises to help them contextualise and think about the works presented in the exhibition. Students were encouraged to identify four different modes of art comprising drawing, research, installation and performance that were presented in the exhibition.

The aim of the exercises and tour was for students gain a deeper appreciation for artmaking in Southeast Asia and a deeper understanding of Tang Da Wu’s connection to Sembawang's past and present.
