An exciting collaborative project that unites three diverse artmakers: Yogyakarta-based stencil artist, Anagard, NAFA alumna and founder of COFA Studio, Cathrine Oslo and local costume-making and prop-building collective 556 Industries. Each artist injects their distinct speciality and crafting techniques together, creating dialogue in the world of visual art and design, using art as a tool to promote peace and foster understanding between cross-communities. In using distinctive iconography as a visual language, Anagard’s works invite viewers to interpret and find meaning in their stories, transforming ideas from drawings to large-scale installations to be presented for the first time in Singapore. Coinciding with the exhibition is the 11th edition of NAFA’s Southeast Asian Art Clinic, a platform for the featured artists to share their creative process in-person in Singapore.
