In conjunction with the exhibition of Japanese Design Today 100, the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts (ISEAA) invited Naoko Yano, General Manager (Planning and Design Office) Household Division of MUJI, Japan, to give a talk for students from the School of Art & Design (SOAD).
Naoko Yano spoke about the philosophy and design concepts of MUJI, and especially the process of creating unbranded products and their universal appeal to consumers worldwide. The talk provided insights on how good design can improve the lives of consumers through simplicity, practicality, aesthetics and values.
