Students from the School of Music explore the elements of Southeast Asian arts and culture through the lens of visual arts during the Cross-Disciplinary Practices Workshops conducted by Dr Bridget Tracy Tan from the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts.
The first part of the workshop involves a visit to the National Gallery Singapore, where the students are introduced to a selection of artworks and artists that are historically significant to the development of arts in Singapore and Southeast Asia. The second part of the workshop involves a short lecture by Dr. Bridget Tracy Tan, concluding with student group performances and presentations about their own interpretation of the learning journey and workshop.
