Organised by ISEAA and held in conjunction with the exhibition entitled The Field Beyond: Works by Contemporary Malaysian Artists, the eighth instalment of the Southeast Asia Art Clinic explores the theme of storytelling in artmaking. Split into a two-part series consisting of a live forum and dialogue session held online, the participating artists Choy Chun Wei, Ivan Lam, Kimberley Boudville and Yau Bee Ling were invited to share how the process of artmaking shapes the way we perceive and engage with art.
Selected students from the School of Art & Design (SOAD) talked about works from the exhibition and shared their own reflections through an online collection of soundtrack, collages and objects inspired by the artists’ works.
